I ended up losing 13 pounds, which is still a feat for me.<\/p>\n<p>I could not have done this without the slow progress I&#8217;d made in recent months. Previously, I had stopped getting fast food altogether since I came home from New York (beginning of November 2010) and from there tried to sneak in as many meals that revolved around veggies as possible.<\/p>\n<p>When I finally said to myself, &#8220;I&#8217;m ready to do this.&#8221; I started using my Loseit.com app every day to track all the food I was eating and being accountable to myself. Even that accountability took a slow path to realization as I began writing in my WordPress.com blog daily. Just being mindful of what I put in my mouth is a step in the right direction and help keeps me honest.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m proud of the progress I&#8217;ve made, though I&#8217;m not anywhere close to the weight I&#8217;d like, but for once in a long, long while, I&#8217;m finally on the right track.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On January 31st, I told myself I was going to lose 30 pounds in an effort to psyche myself into a diet.
